WHere is still water paddle stand located?

During the 2023 season, Still Water will be operating primarily from 1830 NB 475, St. Edouard de Kent New Brunswick - just minutes from the Irving Eco Center and the Bouctouche Dunes. During extreme low tides (full moon) we may operate from 1735

What Equipment is available to rent?

For the 2023 season there will be 3 rigid stand up paddle boards, a tandem sit-in kayak, a tandem sit-on-top kayak, a single sit-in kayak, a two-person peddle boat, and a three-person canoe available for rent.

What is provided?

Still Water provides the stand up paddle boards, paddle, leash, life jacket and good times! Everything else is up to you.

Are water shoes required?

We recommend bringing water shoes in case you decide you would like to wear them.

What is the weight capacity of your stand up paddle boards and double kayak?

The weight capacity of our stand up paddle boards is 270 lbs.

The combined weight capacity for our double kayaks is 550 lbs.

What should i bring?

Depending on the time of day, you may want to bring some bug spray (early mornings and dusk tend to be the buggiest). Depending on the temperature, you may want to bring additional layers to keep warm. Keep in mind clothing may get wet so light, quick drying fabrics are best. Other items you may want to consider bringing are sunscreen, rash guards, towels, dry bags (especially for electronics like phones and cameras), hats, sunglasses, eyeglass retainers, water, and snacks.

How easy or difficult is stand up paddle boarding?

Most first-time paddlers are able to stand up and paddle within 20 minutes and the activity is accessible to a wide range of ages from the very young (kids) to the very mature (seniors), and a wide range of skills from novice to seasoned athlete.

WHat is STIll water’s cancellation policy?

To receive a full refund, bookings must be cancelled within 72 hours of your scheduled rental. If weather or any other reason does not permit your scheduled rental to proceed as planned, a full refund will be issued.

Does Still Water Offer Group Rentals?

Those who are interested in group rentals are free to book multiple boards for their desired date and time via our online booking system.

Does Still Water Provide any Instruction on how to stand up paddle board?

When time permits, some basic instruction is provided at the beginning of your rental if desired, then you are free to explore on your own.

Are there onsite bathrooms/change rooms?

No, however, there are bathrooms/change rooms available minutes away at the Irving Eco Center just up the street from where we are located.

Is there onsite parking?

Yes.

Can I Stand Up Paddle Board with my dog?

Most dogs tend to be a bit nervous on a stand up paddle board, however, we leave the decision about whether to bring your dog up to you. We do not provide life jackets for dogs or accept any responsibility should anything happen to them while out on the water with you, nor do we “dog sit” if you’re unable to bring them with you.

Can I stand up paddle board with my child?

This depends on the child’s age. We do not recommend stand up paddle boarding with a child under the age of 6 and may not have life jackets to fit them with.

Does Still Water Sell Refreshments onsite?

No, however, there is a convenient store located at a campground minutes away from where we are located.

Do I have to sign a waiver?

Yes, an electronic waiver for each participant will be sent to you via email for e-signature after you complete your online booking. Should waivers not be signed in advance, you will have the opportunity to e-sign them onsite using one of our electronic devices.

Do Minors need to have a waiver signed by a parent or guardian?

Yes, minors under the age of majority (18 years old) must have a parent or guardian sign a waiver on their behalf.
